Animation: Gronk vs Tilt

Gronk vs Tilt from Trenino Fumato on Vimeo.

The terrible Peter Lorre impression is provided by yours truly, as well as the rest of the sound effects. For shame!
To redeem myself I shall exclaim...
Happy Winter Solstice everyone!
See you on the flip side of the new decade.

Animation: Caddi come corpo morte cade...

E caddi come corpo morto cade... from Trenino Fumato on Vimeo.

The little guy fainting is Dante Alighieri, author and protagonist of the 'Divine Comedy'.
In it, particularly during his journey through hell, whenever he sees some scary shit or conveniantly needs to travel from one side of a river to the other without a bridge, he faints (and wakes up on the other side).
Whenever he faints, he uses this expression: 'E caddi come corpo morto cade...' or 'And I fell as a dead body falls'.
That's about it :-)
I'm thinking about looking for some work opportunities in animation shorts like this so I'd really appreciate feedback, good or bad. Let me know what you think in the comment box and make sure YOU survive the zombie rainbow pony war!

ArtSoc: Blade Runner

(photoshopped to highten contrast and add cigarette smoke)

First actual project done at ArtSoc (Art Society of Southampton University): it doesn't look this snazzy in real life, but the photo I took made it look terribly yellow, so I tweaked it a bit... but not too much. I'm quite proud of it.

Guess the band #2!

Ok, the Supertramp one was by far too easy.
Let's see if anyone can guess this one (if you do, I'll add the flashplayer with the band and their eponymous song).
UPDATE: I have also changed my nom-de-plume once again. 'To Fu', being the first two letters  respectivley of my first name and last name, and also having the advantage of being an actual word! Extra bonus: since I am a pescatarian vegetarian, I also eat plenty of it.
That is all.

Retroville Heroes #2

I have sent the link to this blog, and all that sail in her, to my University's Friction Magazine, a journal for students to publish short stories and whatnot. I suggested my short stories and serials (voyages into the ordinary, the zombie rainbow pony wars, etc.) and so far I have had very good responses. At some point my babies may even be published! And read by millions... ok, thousands.

Voyages into the ordinary! #7

Dialogue for this story was inspired by an exceptionally bad 'translation' I did of a conversation held on messenger... in Romanian.
Think of me what you will.

A brief message before we once again open the tiny wooden door that leads into the cacophonous hall of insanity that is my mind. This may come as happy news to some of you, and despairingly tragic news to others... but I have decided to try my hand at writing stories again.
I know I haven't been that successful in the past, doing mostly unfinished symphonies or very short stories.
This may or may not turn out to be another one of the aformentioned. Nonetheless, I'm giving it a shot.
I've done two pages so far and up til now it's been ok. Hopefully I'll be well underway when I decide to post the first page.
I was also wondering whether to dedicate a secondary blog to the story or not. Should I do that, or wait till the story is finished? Or not do it at all? Your thoughts? Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.
Anyway, that's all for now.
I leave you with a lurid little pile of shite which emerged from my brain last week. Play nice.

Onehundredth Post Celebration!

Well, I finally got there. 100 posts.
Technically, adding the short stories, it's a bit more than onehundred, but nonetheless. I feel pretty special.
I'd just like to take a moment to thank everyone who has ever followed, commented or plugged.
I honestly didn't think it was going to last this long, but it has. Hopefully it'll go on lasting.
Though I may not be posting drawings and sketches as frequently as I did in the past, due to university and family matters, the dome shall live long and prosper.
Thank you all very much once again.

And so, without further more a do... I give you...
